We have concluded a contract for order data processing with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

General information on data processing, processed data categories

We always process the personal data of our customers, suppliers, and other contractual partners ("business partners") in compliance with applicable data protection law.

We process personal data in the context of our collaboration with our business partners for the following purposes:

  • Business communication e.g. about products, services and projects,

  • Organization, maintenance and administration of the business relationship;

  • Conducting customer surveys, marketing campaigns, market analyses, prize draws, competitions or similar promotions and events;

  • Maintaining and protecting the security of our products and services and our websites, preventing and detecting security risks, fraudulent activities or other criminal or harmful activities;

  • Compliance with legal requirements (e.g. tax and commercial retention obligations) as well as guidelines and industry standards; and

  • Implementation of existing contracts and for the assertion, exercise, enforcement and defense of legal claims as well as

  • Settlement of legal disputes.

For the aforementioned purposes, we process the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact details, such as first and last name, business address, business telephone number, business mobile number, business fax number and business email address;

  • Payment data, such as information required to process payment transactions or prevent fraud, including credit card information and card security numbers;

  • Further information, the processing of which is necessary within the framework of a project or the execution of a contractual relationship with us or which is provided voluntarily by our contact persons, such as orders placed, inquiries made or project details;

  • Information collected from publicly available sources, information databases or credit agencies.


Personal data is processed only for the purposes stated above. These generally arise from the fulfillment of our contractual obligations or to protect our overriding legitimate interests. Our legitimate interests arise from the implementation of our corporate purpose.

Transmission and disclosure of personal data

We transfer personal data for the purposes mentioned above to

  • other service providers, insofar as this is necessary to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes.

  • Courts, regulatory authorities or law firms to the extent legally permissible and necessary to comply with applicable law or to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

  • Contract processors, such as IT maintenance service providers. These service providers are subject to our instructions as the controller and are contractually obligated to comply with applicable data protection requirements.

To the extent the above-mentioned recipients are located in countries outside the European Economic Area ("third countries") where applicable law does not guarantee the same level of data protection as in your home country, we take measures to ensure suitable and adequate safeguards for the protection of personal data. (ii) have implemented Binding Corporate Rules, or
(iii) are certified under the EU/US Privacy Shield to recipients based in the USA.

Storage periods

The personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for which they were stored no longer applies, unless an explicit storage period was specified at the time of collection. Storage may also occur if this has been provided for by European or national legislators in EU regulations, laws, or other provisions to which the controller is subject. Data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need to continue storing the data for the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract.

Which sources and data does ZIMO Consultant Engineering use?

What is the purpose of the processing and the legal basis?

We process personal data in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in their currently valid versions for the purpose of establishing, implementing, and terminating your employment relationship, as well as for preparing company documents, reports, etc.

A. based on your consent (Art. 6 (1a) EU GDPR).
Processing is carried out based on your consent if we have previously informed you of the exact purposes of the processing.

B. to fulfill contractual obligations (Art. 6 (1b) EU GDPR).
Data is processed on the basis of legal requirements in order to fulfill the concluded employment contract and the associated obligations.

C. within the framework of the balancing of interests (Art. 6 (1f) EU GDPR). If necessary, we process your data beyond the actual fulfillment of the contract to protect our legitimate interests or those of third parties, in particular:

  • Assertion of legal claims and defense in legal disputes

  • Ensuring IT security and IT operations in our practice

  • Measures for business management, quality management and the optimization of our processes

D. due to legal requirements (Article 6 (1c) GDPR)

Who gets my data?

Within our company, employees are given access to the data they need to perform their operational tasks. Our vicarious agents may also receive data for the aforementioned purposes. These include companies and service providers in the areas of IT services, tax consulting, and legal advice.

By law, we are obligated to transmit selected data to, among others, statutory health insurance providers, social insurance providers, professional associations, professional chambers, supervisory authorities, and tax offices.


Other data recipients may be those entities for which you have given us your consent to transmit data or to which we are authorized to transmit personal data based on a balance of interests.

How long will my data be stored?

When storing your personal data, we adhere to the requirements for fulfilling our contractual and legal obligations. If your data is no longer required to fulfill contractual or legal requirements (including tax retention obligations), it will be deleted regularly.

Is there an obligation to provide data?

As part of the application process or the conclusion and implementation of an employment contract, you must provide the personal data necessary for the initiation, implementation, and termination of the employment relationship and for the fulfillment of the associated contractual obligations. Without this data, we are generally unable to establish, implement, or terminate an employment relationship.

This also applies to declarations of consent given before the EU GDPR came into force, i.e. before May 25, 2018. Please note that the revocation only takes effect for the future; retroactive revocation is therefore not possible.


You have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you which is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1f) EU GDPR (balancing of interests), for reasons arising from your particular situation.
